Last night as a pre valentines date night (no kids) I made my hubby this new delicious cocktail and it did not disappoint! It is fresh and so smooth. I was inspired by a fellow bloggers instagram post and recipe here for her Villadry cocktail. I changed a few things and made it my own what a great drink idea!
- 2 oz St Remy Signature
- 1 oz pear simple syrup (*instructions below)
- 1/2 lime
- pink of salt
- 1 oz liquid egg whites
- 1 splash of absinthe
- thyme for garnish
In a martini shaker over ice mix all ingredients (except absinthe) and shake for 1 min. Rinse glass with absinthe and leave remainder in glass. Pour into cocktail glass and throw sprig of thyme on top. Enjoy!
* To make pear simple syrup heat 1 cup of water with 1/2 cup of white sugar over medium heat with a sliced pear and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Reduce to simmer after sugar is dissolved for 15 min and then strain and cool liquid.
