Chocolate muffins

I sure do love anything made with chocolate 🙂 .  When I cam across these chocolate protein muffins, I knew I had to give them a try! They are not too sweet and they are a great little snack size 😉 .  I have read that if you use whey protein powder they will no turn out the same, they will be hard like plastic. The hemp protein works best because it contains some carbs and fat, which make the muffins moist and fluffy. So go get baking and whip up a batch of these tasty little treats. 🙂

Chocolate Hemp Protein Muffins
Recipe type: muffins
Serves: 9-10
  • ¼ cup hemp protein powder
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbs of cocao powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 squares of good quality dark chocolate
  • ¼ cup of dark chocolate chips
  • 2 tbs of agave syrup
  • ½ to ¾ of almond milk
  1. Grease muffin tin with oil and line with paper cupcake wrappers.
  2. Mix all of the ingredients into the blender, except the milk. Mix for one minute and then check the consistency.
  3. Add a ½ cup of almond milk and blend again. If you can pour the batter into the muffin tins then great. If its to think add another splash or two of milk.
  4. Pour the batter into the muffin tins and bake in over for 15-20 minutes at 325 degrees.
  5. Take the muffins out of the oven. Let them cool and then enjoy.
